spring break con'd

The food we discovered was ridiculously good, and paid for.
By the third night I was ordering 2 entrees which didnt
help the drinking cause but it was too good and too free to
turn down. One night we went with Tony after he got his
hair braided and he was wasted. He was pretty embarassing,
but we were used to it. We didn't even tip the waiters b/c
we pre-paid a weeks worth of tipping.
Our first stop was Roatan, Honduras. Just as shady as
Jamaica but without all the drug dealing locals. We walked
down a street lined with little shops. A woman with a
deformed hand sold me a bottle of water. I was told to buy
Vanilla extract for my mom in Honduras, i guess its made
there and its really good. We almost bought scooters from
some random local (i still have his business card). He
brought us down some side alley where i thought we'd b
mugged. I dont think u have to fear as much for your life
as you do ur money in the caribbean, if ive learned anything
from my jamaican encounters. Little kids would come up to
you and introduce themselves then ask you for a dollar.
Jesse almost got pick-pocketed but tony saw the kid and said
somethin like "hey watch yourself." Same type of stuff in
Jamaica, pretty sad. We realized we had no idea where the
hell we'd go if we got these scooters so we just got a cab
from some1 related to the scooter guy. He drove us for
about a half hour into the island, we were all getting
nervous in the backseat b/c we told him to take us to a
beach. There were actually some pretty nice summer houses
and the beach we eventually got to was pretty nice compared
to what we had seen by the boat. This was before we found
out about the sand mites. We relaxed on the beach, I was
reading the Drawing of Three by Stephan King and listenin to
my Ipizzle. The water was real nice and the place was
pretty scenic, quiet little spot none of the other cruise
people found. We started noticing little chicken pock
lookin marks on each other, Borish had the most. We found
out from the cabbie that they were sand mites bites, pretty
harmless but stuck around a lil while, especially on Borish.
There was a dock leading out to this 2 story lookout
thing. The 2nd level was about 20 feet above the water,
ideal for jumping off of. Jesse was doin all sorts of shit
off there. We ran into "Prison" there. I dont remember
seein any1 else from the cruise there, they were
inescapable, hence the nickname. That, and the oldest one
said she was 17, that group had prison written all over them.
They told us their real age about 3 nights into the cruise.
We'd been wasting our time with high schoolers on some kinda
of impromptu break, accompanied by their parents. From there
on out they were all over us, knocking on our doors and following us on the islands.
I wonder if this arguement would hold up in court...prolly not.
They definately weren't catching the "we'd prefer freedom" vibe that we were sending.
We thought about gettin sumthin to eat before we left Honduras
but since we had 2 entres on the way, we decided against it.
Before we got on the boat i had a terrible idea that i lost
my cruise i.d. and id b left there, seein how that could
easily happen to me. It didnt and that was Honduras,
no drinking surprisingly but the past couple nights were
rough so the break was nice.
